Southern Minnesota Between Freeborn & Wells
Let's try hail evidence in my neighbors freezer pea field. The hail was about a week ago. The peas were particularly tender when they were hit.
The pods that were hit have some normally developed peas in them but each pea next to a white spot stopped developing. Those pods have a moldy like appearance inside. I think the peas that are present are OK but it appears to have hurt his yield. They are ready to harvest at this time.
Our neighboring soybeans do not seem to be affected.
