Subject: RE: No-till organic soybeans in rye

In our test run last year on about 4 acres. Ran a gallon of the Homeplate to about 30 gals of water per acre. After we rolled the rye down with a dull, gangs straight as we could make them, on a JD 15 foot BWA disk. Didnt get any rye seeded last fall so no test this year. BUT major problem when we did it Homeplate was 90 dollars a gallon. This year they tell me, have dropped it to 65 a gallon. Weed Slayer is another one we are going to try and use yet this season. We have used all the mixs over the last few years but the Homeplate has some bite to it and the Weed Slayer is new so will give that a shot on some giant rag. Also that gallon to the acre maybe a quart will do what needs to be done we just went by what they told us to use as a rate. Its all new no real set rates.
