Chris you are getting good at this keyboard stuff! Reminds me of DOS 2.1

Thanks for the tip.

As far as the 88%, they are getting that by saying that anyone with a single symptom of metabolic syndrome is in that category. A very inclusive figure. I have seen other figures that are less constrictive more like 65%. So it depends on the definition. At any rate is is a way too high number.

Dr Steve Phinney and Dr Eric Westman are two doctors with clinics that do similar work with patients in their diabetes and overweight problems. Both have had their clinics operating for over ten years as I recall. Halberg works with Phinney in the same clinic if I recall correctly. If you look her TED presentation you linked to is from 2015. Statistics have only gotten worse since then. It is a great presentation for someone being initially exposed to a different way of eating. She is spot on.

As an aside notice her graph after minute 4. She shows the insulin response to fat, carbs and protein. That graph is accurate for a fed state eating a normal carbohydrate diet. You have to watch the video of Bikman's I linked to in this thread to see how that graph changes in a low carb diet environment. In a fasted or low carb diet the protein insulin response is at a much lower rate. A lot has been learned since 2005. Otherwise if everyone in the world would watch her presentation, they could improve their health. Doubly so for people over weight or insulin resistant.
