The corn is planted....end of story. The pp talk went silent on agtalk 3 weeks ago. The issue I have is the 97 million number that was printed in March. I feel that was too high. I knew when they printed that number it wasn’t going to be good. Because with that high of number, even if they did drop off 4 mil acres it still leaves us with 93 mil planted....still too many acres for this market.

The part that could be bullish is that it is also a stocks report. The brain trust at the USDA claims they are smart enough to forecast a crop that isn’t even planted, but yet they still aren’t done figuring 2019 yield. I anticipate a drop in stocks. It would be aweful nice if they would get their $hit together and give us the 2019 yield in 2019. We do have bills to pay, and them shrinking yields 12 months after the fact does us no good. It just really chaps my a$$ they always shoot high coming out of the gate and 18 months later they will tell the half truth.

Ok....I’m done ranting. That’s my prediction
