Schochoh Ky | Lots of very poor wheat yields here . The April freeze was a death toll to any wheat planted here prior to Oct 20 or there about. Lots of guys reporting moisture number higher than yields. Lots of 25 bushel yields , testing 30 plus on moisture. The first 600 acres we cut averaged in the mid 30s , off from 90 plus last year. Seed wheat is a major concern as almost all is being dried with lots of heat. We cut two farms today , truck measurement and combine yields monitor say low 40s.This is over several counties in south west Kentucky. The later planted stuff is better , but 75% was planted early.I would have my orders in for seed wheat early. | |
