NE ND | Update; farm king/buhler bought out redball. Their website shows no dealers whatsoever. Called company headquarters in Winnipeg and asked for parts. Get transferred to either Moorden MB or Fargo. Ask for Fargo, no answer, leave message, never returned. (Over 11 hours later and called a second time) had local fabricator cut off old spindle. Took to Grand Forks welding, they thought hub was questionable, but they could make a new spindle. Made calls for sprayer parts, no one knew anything. On a whim called Proag in Gf cause they’re listed as a Hardi sprayer dealer. Parts man says he doesn’t have sprayer parts on hand but come in and take a look cause he has a couple 10 bolt hubs in stock. Low and behold one is an exact match. So if anyone asks a redball sprayer is the same hub/spindle as a 12 row Amity beet lifter (there is 2 models tho so double check). Got a whole new hub/bearings/spindle. Welder is gonna weld new spindle on tomorrow and hopefully be spraying by midday. Unlikely since wind blows 40 mph everyday. | |
