That might work if you are running the monitors in 2 identical pieces of equipment.  When you restore a back up, you get an identical copy of the first monitor including all the controller setups, implements, vehicles etc.  That does not work well in one InSight is in a tractor and the second is in a self propelled sprayer.  It can be done, but you will have to recreate all the setup files.  That is not much better than importing the lines. 

As I said, this is one area where AL needs improvement.  They need more support for multiple units in one operation.
