one of our state climatologist guys years ago presented a paper of a study he did on last frost dates by local region in Iowa.
and you are almost dead center in the region that up, until that time was notorious for late spring frosts, and had the the latest spring frost free date of anywhere else in Iowa.
he even had a name for your area but I for the life of me can’t think of it now. |
