NWIA | I have no idea if true, I thought they were gassing them. I do know the method you describe is what is proposed if you are infected with asf. They will crowd the pigs as much as possible and shut off ventilation while turning up the heat. The steam is all the moisture from the pigs and the lack of ventilation. This is also what happens when the pigs are big and the ventilation system fails and it doesn't alarm out. | |
