n.c.iowa | SDFarmboy - 5/29/2020 09:37 It does create a white film on surfaces to gum things up.
sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t.
when the kids were around I had at one time seven snowmobiles to summer-ize every year, so every spring I’d drain all of the gas out and go up town and get a tank of premium non-ethanol gas mix alittle stabil in because that’s what my local snowmobile guy said I should do.
and every winter I’d take the carbs apart to clean them and there be the white film thing you and others keep blaming on ethanol, tried different stabilizers and to varying degrees the white crap or jelly would be there.
then one year I ran out of time so I just drained all the gas out (ethanol) reserved about 4gallons of it, mixed 8 oz of injector oil with the gas and split it among the snowmobiles and then ran them until I was sure the gas/oil mixture was in the carbs.
no more white crap or jelly in the carbs, after a couple years I quite taking carbs apart to clean them any more.
