I made this video a few years ago after finding that gasoline from Kansas City was swelling plastics and fuel lines more than gasoline from St Louis. The difference after we sent the fuels out for testing was lower carbon number aromatics.

If any one has concern about winterizing two strokes, that expensive gas in a can at Lowes is good but not because it says no ethanol but because it says VP Race fuel on the side. This figure is from the State of Texas 2017 market survey of roughly 270 gasoline samples. Sorted from lowest to highest aromatic content. You could be buying gasoline with only a few percent aromatics or over 40 percent and here lies a huge problem as to why there are issues. Aromatics causes the most damage to seals hose and gaskets.
