The salt intake is associated with carbs but it really is high insulin retains salt, low insulin doesn’t.

So going low carb and dropping insulin levels means the gates in the kidneys open and the salt and water leave.

Estimates I’ve seen vary but are from 50% to 95% of highblood pressure is caused by elevated insulin.

Yet doctors pretty much never check insulin levels, they just give you pills and tell you to lose weight, which you cannot do if your insulin is high.

I you do lose weight your doc thinks it’s the weight but it is really you got your insulin down which allowed the weight loss and the drop in blood pressure.

Dropping the insulin level is much more effective than pills.
