And then cut service to the non profitable areas......yikes!...... Us fringe areas would

Don’t worry.*** If the US Postal Service goes private you will still get mail once a week but it will cost me $19.95 to send a letter to you. Probably more for you to send a letter out.
All rural delivery would cost more. UPS uses USPS for small packages because they can’t afford to deliver them as cheap as the USPS can.
The Republicans have been pushing very hard to privatize the USPS, even passed a law requiring the USPS to fund retirement out 70 years. That’s funding retirement for workers that are not even born yet. Doing that makes them look like they are loosing money. The reason to privatize is that USPS jobs are good paying union jobs.
