N.W. Ohio | JC, We’ve determined before that we’re not that far away from each other. So I’m gonna assume that your area might be similar to ours in that most farmers who don’t have enough or any on farm storage and want to hold grain in the fall put their grain on DP. Even more so this is the case with share crop landlords. Maybe this is a “here” thing?? But I’d say there’s gonna be a lot of disappointed people who find out their unpriced grain won’t qualify because it was technically sold to the elevator when put on DP. I know of very few around here that ever pay the extra monthly charges to put the grain on true storage. I’m not gonna argue about DP one way or the other as I know it is as evil as the Devil himself as far as Agtalk is concerned. Just saying in my area that’s gonna eliminate millions of bushels from eligibility. It is what it is. | |
