SW Iowa | I understand the 5000 bu amount, but sir, how did you come up with the 12,500 bu amount?

If 50,000bu is the total '19 production, 1/2 would be 25,000 bu.,,and, if you had 40,000 bu remaining after Jan 15 to sell, then 1/2 of 40,000 would be 20,000 bu subject to the full subsidy,,,and 20k bushels is less than 25k bushels total raised....so, 20,000 bu times $0.67/bu is a $13,400 subsidy check.
