Subject: RE: Ag Leader Water Management Module not working

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
The above is correct. With all Ag Leader modules there is an LED on the module which gives the status of the CAN communication. During normal operation this should be flashing green. Upon the first few seconds of initial startup or while doing an update it might not be flashing green but normally it should be flashing green indicating good CAN communication.

Since there was no indication at all, a CAN communication problem was expected and found to be the missing relay which provides power to the CAN bus.

Quite often we hear complaints of a problem and the poster says that the Green LED is flashing. This is great in the sense that it shows that the CAN communication is healthy. However it does NOT give any clue to the status of the High Current Power (2 pin Deutch) situation. Many Ag Leader modules need High Current power/ground to do their job. There is no LED for this. The display will not indicate a problem. The test is to temporarily unplug the connector and test for 12V between the two pins (not to chassis ground).

The OP here noted a lack of a flashing Green LED and found High Current Power at the two pin connector at the module. The fact that High Current Power/Ground was healthy was necessary for eventual operation but had nothing to do with the non flashing Green LED. This lead him to investigate the CAN connections and find the missing relay. The OP also took the time to report back on his findings which may be helpful for someone else. Far too often a thread just dies without an apparent solution.
