| Start off with USB's
They are fussy for usb brands.
Find a 4 gb to 8gb toshiba or sandisk and you should be ok. format o fat32 only dont try anything else
if you had a v 1.x software version you may require a .mnc file to install prior to the update.
Once that is installed update to v7.8 (i think that is the current version.
Once that is done hard reset again.
then restore data from usb.
I dont think you need a new display if the touch screen is ok.
Consult your dealer for firmware files and updates.
