Coldwater, Michigan | What I think is 1) our record has overall been pretty good with the exception of the couple of peanut issues in the past couple of years. And the lettuce and tomatoes out of Mexico, and a few years earlier Strawberries out of Mexico. Does there seem to be a pattern here? If we look at the safety issues of the tomatoes at least: it put a bunch of tomato producers in big financial hurt here in the US and it wasn't even their fault, and in this country.
2) it isn't that hard to write to your congress people. They don't listen very well many times, but then you at least have justification to warn them you will vote against them come election time. I started writing to mine (both parties), and I will write to them when they run for re-election telling them why I will not be voting for them.
3) there are going to be more "Tea Parties" on April 15th.
