Southern MN | In our area all the forclosed listings are handled by Realtors. They are the same listings you can get from those "Pay" Sites. Find someone you feel comfortable with and have them represent you as a buyers agent. They do not charge you anything and are looking out for your best interests. Also, they may know some "short sale" possibilities in the area, as well as properties that will be comming on the market soon, but are not advertised yet.
I would reccomend a home inspection on any bank owned property.
