just a tish NE of central ND | Thats a good question. Ill get flamed but its only an opinion. Now I don't know anything about a 20.8-38.
My experience is with different rim sizes such as the 34s and 38s.
I always thought out 18.4-38s had better traction than the 20.8-34s did but the 34.s floated better in mud and were a LOT SMOOTHER riding on rough ground with a tall sidewall and were way more expensive.
