North Central Illinois | Yeah it is a total scam. When ethanol really got rolling everyone screamed about food for fuel and the processors all used that as an excuse to raise prices. Now that ethanol is on life support and corn prices are in the crapper there is not one word about food prices dropping. Just like freight companies that love to add a fuel surcharge when there is a spike in fuel prices. I wouldn't have a problem with that if they would take it off once fuel prices drop. Many times it eventually disappears as a line item and is incorporated into the basic rate and then when fuel prices go up again there is another fuel surcharge. Rinse and repeat. That one really gripes me. | |
