Bloomington and Putnam IL | Usually we see 3 or 4 runners or walkers and a couple dog/human combos when my wife and I run 4 miles on a nice day and I see a few more than that when I go for 6 on my own (we run in our and joining subdivisions). But after the virus restriction the side walk traffic is at least doubled and even tripled on very nice days. Lots of having to run on grass to give everybody 6'+ of distance but that's OK. It's also nice seeing increased driveway chalk art and a lot more families with young kids are playing in their yards. I really miss seeing and competing with my friends at 5ks though. I did get a record for me 175 miles in March (my bad knee has been hurting but that's OK). Hope you have been taking advantage of these very different times also... |
