Pawnee,gage county, neb | Had a calf born alive this morning with the left front leg bone sticking out of the hide right above the foot, the bone has two knuckles at bottom where the joint that attaches bone to foot normally is. Other than this the calf seems normal, it was up and nursed. I asked my vet if there's anything we could do to try to fix it and unfortunately he doesn't think there is, without the ligaments that attach the bottom.of leg bone to the foot there's no way it would ever heal or to attach the foot to the bone, I've never seen anything like this before now , & neither had my vet.
