Sanilac Co. Michigan | Might not look real pretty and bright, but once rained on oat straw, particularly through a Gleaner rotary, makes terrific bedding. Shoot, cattle think it's good to eat, too!
Might be taken as unfortunate or short sighted, but I seldom sell oat straw since it works so well in a no till system and goes a long way in feeding the soil. Seldom causes problems with slugs the next spring, unlike wheat straw.
