Subject: One day at a time.

Thanks.

One day at a time.

There are responsible corporations out there doing the right thing.. See HEB above.. I'll give Valero a pass for now I'm sure things are busy over there.. also.. just SAYING that they need to consider the ramifications of their actions.

Things that are happening here..

Dumping Corn acres for Alfalfa..
People are driving out from the Cities to Buy Beef from the local butcherers..  (do we really need ONLY 3 big packers?)
etc..

We have Inventory.. It's good that Ag has been running in Hot Idle to produce Ethanol.. we have Corn Stocks which can be re diverted if Need be..  In an environment where DDGs now cost More.. IF you can EVEN GET IT?!?  We'll feed more corn.. more Bean Meal.. and Alfalfa.. Cottonseed.. etc.

However, What if..

What if.. OPEC members change their mind.. we could be back at $100 Crude.. (not wishful thinking on my part.. just looking at history)

It's cheap now.. but how long will Cheap Crude last?  Obviously they want to Bankrupt our domestic suppliers.. in the Oil Field and Ethanol.

We're bailing out the Airlines.. do we need to think Strategically about Energy..??

We're probably going to add to the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.. not a bad idea.

It's good to have options.. Crude.. Natty.. Wind.. Solar... Biofuels.. EV's.. an all of the above for a reason.

Back to Ag.

We need to keep everyone whole.. while we transition to what comes..

USDA needs to come out with REAL numbers.. How much do we REALLY HAVE?

Not the corn.. stored on the farm.. in a mudhole.. falling over.. in the Dakota's.. How much do we have IN A BIN?

How long can we go?
How much to divert to food?
What to do with assets.. Ethanol.. Crude Refineries while we are waiting on things to calm down..

.. What would be the expected Restart on the other side?

...

but Got enough on our plate for today.

We'll revisit the bad actors.. the Meat Packers and the Valero's.. did they do their jobs?

Were they Responsible with what are entrusted with them.. If not..

they well be "corrected."

at a point to come.

Do the Right thing people.

I skimmed over this link yesterday.. from Valero

We will be a good neighbor by sharing our success with the communities where we live and work through volunteerism, charitable giving and the economic support of being a good employer(and I assume Supplier.. a RELIEABLE SUPPLIER!)

We don't need ALL the ethanol plants running at this time.. the Ethanol market has crashed below breakeven.. so.. that needs to stabilize.. we are NOT going to less then $3 Corn.. cause that's not happening.. So Ethanol needs to find Value.

Valero Needs to HONOR it's COMMITMENTS to those it has bought and Sold to.

IF NOT.. then it will get addressed.

There are feeders COUNTING ON FEED!!

KEEP IT COMING!!!

So that EVERYONE.. all the way BACK to THESE guys.. can keep the lights on.

We’ve been working very hard right now to deliver meat and poultry and eggs to our stores. We’re accelerating opening a new warehouse in Houston that was due a few months later. We’re taking some of our warehouses in the state and transitioning them over to serving just meat, because we’re seeing such significant demand for meat, poultry, and eggs. We’re still having a real hard time sourcing eggs. We had big loads in the last few days, and they’ve been scooped up as soon as they hit the shelves, so we’re working very hard with egg suppliers to see where we can get additional eggs. But our meat plant is running 24/7—we have our own meat plants here. They normally don’t go 24/7, but we’ve focused them down to serving the top fifty items out of our meat plants; they normally carry several hundreds. [Focusing on top items] means fewer changeover delays, and it allows us to ship significantly more meat. We’re seeing those kinds of moves across the board as we look to ramp up volume in a rapid way.

Valero.. Don't be the Reason why this fails..

You will not be judged kindly.
