The banks have a certain amount of time available to get more cash. If too many customers ask for cash they may put a 3-5 day wait until more cash is available.
I once asked a bank what if I won after tax $100 million dollar Powerball and deposited money how long until I could get $20 million cash. Teller told me that 3-5 days plus some paperwork.
