I've always done extra work on the side. a little bit of custom tillage, a little bit of custom harvesting, some custom spraying. Years ago I wasn't afraid of asking around for tractor driving jobs. I don't really do that much anymore. I do part-time trucking livestock which really works well with my farming schedule. Also we run stocker cattle on wheat in the fall and winter.

I would hate to be locked into just one or two crops that's my only source of income. You know all the eggs in one basket. Situation
