Have a small cowherd and having terrible time as calves are dropping this year. So far we have lost 5 calves and they appear to have either been stillborn or died shortly after birth having not moved. We do have two decent calves, and then another one we saved but it barely made it.
Called the vet, didn't have much info, said they haven't been hearing anything similar this year.
In the past, what type of things might be causing this?
Years ago had same problem in kids ewes, lambs no energy. Rescue treatment with Bo-Se, Injectable seleniuma+Vit E, didn't take much. Think Mu-Se was cattle formulation. too strong for sheep |
