God's Country (N.C. Ia) | Probably less head than you'd think. Nothing against them, but lots of hobby-sized fellers on Nat. Myself included. It would be nice to get to a size where my profits actually bought something, but reality is, it takes some really deep pockets (like paid for land) to be competitive when playing the livestock game. Most of us won't live long enough to realize a dream like that, but farming has always taken generations to be really successful. End of ramblings. | |
