The newer switch box has the ag leader CAN round black 4 pin connector. If you have a brown 12 pin connector, you will need the auxiliary input module I believe.
The brown connector is present with the newer smart switch box and usually just dangles off the switch box, If it is needed it can be used exactly like the brown connector on the Auxiliary Input Module so either can be used in such a situation. The most common use of a switch in the brown connector is for a Jump Start switch for a Hydraulic Drive on a planter.
