Central SD | Makes really good feed. Averages 3 bales an acre here and pretty heavy, 5x6 bales. Some ears get knocked off hopefully you can graze it afterwards. Swath it with a belt type swather, no crimper, cut it at an angle and bale it the same direction as it was cut. Should feed tassel first into the baler. 3 wraps and only row the bales. Should be pretty dry by now so minimal heating. I’ve baled 1000s of them. | |
