First step - have your soil tested. Once you have information on what nutrients are available in the soil you can determine the nutrient rates to apply.
A 200 bu/ac corn will take 240 lbs/acre N, 105lbs/acre P2O5 and 240 lbs/acre K2O. Now you have to see what's already available in the soil.
