Texas | Most wireless cameras don’t record continuously they only record when triggered by motion and they can miss a lot.
If not directly connected to power the batteries will last anywhere from two weeks to several months depending how many motion events they record.
Wireless cameras need to be within wifi range. It sounds like you are wanting them over a larger area? This might be a problem.
We spent about $1500 on a wireless camera setup with six cameras and ditched it after about a year in favor of a POE setup with 12 cameras recording 24/7 and stored locally on a NAS. Much better solution but a lot of work on the install.
I can live stream from my phone, computer, etc and I have three weeks of video stored.
We are using Reolink 410 5 megapixel cameras and a Synology NAS with surveillance station. The cameras are waterproof and no issues with cold or heat.
