A few years ago, there were many complaints about Windows 10 and Quick Books. Windows 10 would do an update overnight and people couldn't open QB the next day. They would try everything they could think of and give up in frustration. The next day, after yet another update, QB worked just fine.
It may be a long shot, but maybe check for updates and make sure they are installed.
