North Central Oklahoma | Our John Deere 9300 tractor snapped the output shaft to front driveshaft going down the road and did some damage. Tractor can still move on it’s own power with the rear axle so I’m thinking a u joint failed up front.
Deere quoted $40k for new tranny and labor. Seems a bit high for a 20 year old tractor.
Does anyone know where I could get ahold of a transmission? I don’t think I want to try to pull apart the old one. It is the 24 speed Power Sync.
Also, if I could find one... how difficult is it to swap? We have a few tractors with loaders and a trackhoe for removing cab and tranny.
I will try to attach some pictures of the damage
