Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Ordered and received one of those OLED displays. I watched a Dronebotworkshop video and he was using one like I got but it had a different I2C address. I ran a sketch that tries all the I2C addresses until it finds a hit and displays this on the Serial Monitor. This happened to be the 7 bit address shown in the documentation. I was trying to use the 8 bit address. I edited the example display and used that address and then got action.
The display is really small but is still quite easy to read. I used an Adafruit example with two of their libraries. These show off the graphic and text capabilities of the OLED display. I changed some of the text which was quite obvious and uploaded the modified sketch which was successful. |
