Subject: RE: Chopping Corn Heads

From what I saw at the Farm Progress show this year the Geringhoff did the best job of shredding the stocks. A neighbor is running a Drago and it cuts the stocks off about 6" high but it does not cut them up as much as the Geringhoff. Something else I've noticed about the Drago is that the mower blades leave the top of the stock cut off pretty smooth where a regular knife roll or the Geringhoff roto disk heads will really shread the top couple inches of the stock which should let it rot down faster.
