Lander, WY | That's what I'm thinking...so farmers won't be able to get financing for seed and fertilizer to raise enough to feed 10,000 people off his land...I'm willing to bet (even in our arid environment) that farmers will be able to raise enough to feed their family and have enough to barter or sell for the stuff they need...and hunt, and survive, and not have to go to someone when something needs fixed...My forefathers did it early in the 1900's here, I'm willing to bet I can make it longer than most of the population...
Like the story of the 2 guys hiking in bear country...bear rears up, one guy sits down, starts changing into running shoes. Second guy says "You really think you can outrun the bear?" First says "I don't have to outrun the bear, I just have to outrun you..." We don't have to produce enough to feed everyone, we just have to produce enough to feed us.
