Subject: Thunderbird profile ... now I'm REALLY confused

West Union, Illinois

I see what you guys were saying about copying my profile and putting it on the new computer.  That looks like the way to go.  But Mozilla help was written by someone who knew what they were talking about ... but couldn't put it in terms a frustrated farmer could understand.

I found my profile on the old XP machine and (I think) copied it to a USB drive. I found  Thunderbird/profiles/u5c1gwf.default and sent that folder to my 4 gig USB stick.  However I am not sure what to do with it when I get to the new Vista box.

I'm going to post this (I'm on the new computer now) then go to the old computer and add a screen shot to show what file I am talking about.  Tell me if I am doing the right thing and if so what do I do with the folders I have copied?

OK, I got the screen shot posted.  This is the file I sent to the USB stick.  Should I have  just copied the contents?  Should I have copied the profiles folder instead?  It has to be simple but I seem to be missing the trick.
