Medium red clover in small grain has been a very popular practice for eons. It is usually frost seeded in late winter, February/March for your area I believe. Planting in the fall to, would you get enough growth to get it to overwinter or too much and overtake the barley? Frost seeding seems to be the safer bet to me.
