Subject: Re: home heating

Stratford WI
Rented a place with a big outdoor woodburner and baseboards.
They also had little heat exchangers stuck up under the floor in the middle of the first floor rooms, could see em when I was in the basement.
It was the most awful system I've ever had the mispleasure to live with.
Very poor heating, uneven, even with ceiling fans running 24/7 it just plain sucked.
the woodburner ate wood like nothing I'd seen before.
The owners have since change it to LP, don't know if it's a boiler or they went forced draft.

A good woodburner connected to a forced draft setup or to in the floor piping would be better IMO.
Easy enough to poor the in floor stuff in a new construction house, might take a bit more support though.
