I’ve got an 1845 case and if you remove the seat and a shield by flywheel you can see everything associated with what drives the hydro pumps and if the pump shaft is actually turning.


The 1835c with the three cylinder engine was the same way. Case shoehorned the four cylinder cummins into the 1835c frame, and called it a 1840. Trust me, it's a tight fit in there. Because of lack of space, the tandem pump is bolted directly to the bellhousing cover plate.
