nw MN | Grass will be your toughest weed. There is really no chemical to control or suppress grasses in oats. Broadleaves are easy. I would cultivate to eliminate grasses, plant it thick and hit it post with a couple modes of action. You could spray generic bronate advanced (bromac) for $5-6/ acre. 2 modes of action and it is not as volatile as dicamba. 2,4-d is a no go in oats. Harmony extra or affinity broadspec might improve control on thistles, mayweed, other tough perennial and biennial weeds and has short plantback windows. | |
