God's Country (N.C. Ia)
I completely understand what you’re getting at with the cheap feed. Problem is finding it. That free corn silage that all the pp acres guys are going to get is going to be awfully hard to complete with. Government sure wants to push their socialist agenda on us don’t they?
I really just was wondering if anyone does it with dairy cows. Makes sense that it could be high risk on account of what you’re buying for cows, as far as health goes. Plus, a guy needs to be able to spend the time in the barns catching the right deals when they’re there to be had. Seems like in times of high herd liquidation, there could be some deals on the younger cows, but who knows? Just some thoughts I guess. Thanks for the replies!
