I can’t imagine the weight and horsepower it would take to pull them and feel comfortable on our hills. We mow several spots so steep you have to hold the upper brake on tractor so discbine will stay on the hill. Not to mention there’s no row cropping here biggest tractor around is 150 HP
I visited in Switzerland a number of years ago - - - they stopped making hay when it was real steep (seriously!!!).
Need to run duals on the tractor - - - - would really stabilize things. Dunno if fluid in the tires is better than weight weights for stability.
With the square baler (large size) putting on duals and using dual axles would help stabilize that.
(Don't forget that a large square baler should be able to about double your baling capacity on a per hour basis (likely need to pick up more than 1 windrow at a time to do that though).) |
