when trying the dns flush, what i did was in start search box i typed run to get there, typed cmd, typed the ipconfig/flushdns at the dos looking box and it told me that command required elevation
when going in to the tools/options/advanced/settings/ there is only no proxy(picked), auto detect proxy settings for this network, manual proxy, auto proxy config url with box for typing
disabled firewall in kaspersky blank screen
disabled kaspersky and told me connection was interupted
