We have 4 varieties that have been our mainstays. Galleria is an early variety that has good size as well as good taste. Honeoye is the next earliest, big yield not quite as big of berry, strong flavor, can be off flavor in heavy wet soil, good for jam and freezing. Cavendish is a large dark red berry that is low in acid that is desired by some with acid reflux. Big yield, a little softer berry that sometimes ripen with a white spot on it. My favorite is Jewel. It is our latest, largest berry, with a good true strawberry flavor. It is a firm berry that travels well.

We have tried a lot of different varieties but the last three we have had all 26 years. They have been good for us.
