| This is our 26th year of picking strawberries. It has been a good run but it is time for someone else to furnish the local grown strawberries.
When we started we had no clue as to what we were getting ourselves into. It has been a good experience on most areas.
We have hired a lot of young people over the years. The majority of them have been good employees. If I remember right we only had to let three or four employees go, that is out of at least 500 over the years.
I don’t know how many customers we have seen in 26 years but there have been some memorable ones, mostly in a good way, although a few have been challenging. Someday I need to sit down and put some of the stories down on paper.
So Friday is the beginning of the end. It will be the first day of the last season. I just hope there is enough berries for everyone.
