I have a big field in a farm i picked up this year. i planted beans in around may 15th. Nobody told me this field had palmer, so i didnt take any action toward controling it. There are a few spots where its all over the ground, and then the occasional one here and there. Most is 6" -12" tall. Some is 3'. It was hiding behind clumps of johnson grass. Anyway, i have to kill it all and restart.

My plan is liberty, ams, gramoxone or sharpen, envive, liquid nitrogen, and surfactant.

My questions...
1. Gramoxone will make the liberty not work as well since gramoxone kills/stunts it so fast, so im thinking sharpen would be better. Which works better

2. Can i wait till after planting to spray liberty and gramoxone/sharpen mixture or will be planting over the palmer injury it enough that herbicides dont work as good? Ive always heard a damaged weed is harder to kill.

3 what other options are there? I dont have a moldboard plow and dont have time. Nobody i know has one either.

Im sure ill have more questions as answers roll in.

If mine i would use the following mix

1qt generic liberty
25oz broadaxe (S-metolachlor, Sulfentrazone)
2qt 32% uan
AMS.

expensive. but its like a nuke for burndown and gives you some residual from the broadaxe.
