Just remember that the 5-8 inches represents the accuracy of the electronics. In my opinion, in the same field on the same day that device will be within 5" from one pass to the next, especially on flat ground with good satellite coverage. You will have to add something to account for the accuracy of the operator to watch the light bar and hold the tractor online. That will probably be a few more inches.I'm not sure how much error you can stand.
